CARS (Charitable Adult Rides & Services) is a San Diego-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2003 specializing in vehicle donation programs for thousands of nonprofits across North America. As a community-focused nonprofit, our philosophy is grounded in gratitude. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional customer service and handle each vehicle donation as a heartfelt gift. CARS is an ISO 9001 certified organization striving to set the gold standard in the industry. We are committed to consistently providing services that meet our customers’ needs and satisfaction..
Our service-oriented organization also supports the local On the Go program, which provides meals and transportation solutions to seniors. On the Go was developed after recognizing the lack of affordable and accessible transportation options in San Diego. On the Go has provided thousands of rides to and from medical appointments, personal errands, religious and cultural events, and social destinations! We are proud to connect people to their community.
"I’m donating this car to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital because my wife is a cancer survivor. We understand what it’s like to be sick and in a position where you have to worry about your finances, when you should be worrying about the health of your loved one. It’s an honor to donate my car to St. Jude, especially since I’ve had it a long time. We hope this car goes to a good cause at St. Jude and helps out a little in the care of someone in need."
"15 years ago, the garage door opened and this little Jetta was inside with a big red bow on it. We have spent many amazing years and miles together. Drives to skating practice, off to college, and then to California for grad school. Today, I donated her to the Sierra Club Foundation in hopes that the car which enabled my adventures will fund some for future generations."
"Donating one of the motorcycles from my collection was an honor for me. Helping our soldiers is so important. The donation process was great. I was contacted quickly, the driver showed up on time and was very courteous, and there were no loose ends."
